Hello and welcome to Year 3!
Staff
I am Mrs Greaves and I am delighted to be the Doves' class teacher. Miss Maxwell teaches the Doves on a Monday and Mrs Patel supports our learning each morning.
You can contact me via the school office or catch me at the door at hometime.
Curriculum
Our topics this year are 'Europe', 'Stone Age to Iron Age' and 'The Romans'. To find out more about the wonderful things your child will be learning each term, please look at the class newsletter at the bottom of the page.
PE takes place on Monday afternoons. Please ensure that your child has a full, labelled PE kit in school.
The Doves' Class Rules
In the Doves' class we base our rules around three main things:
1. The right to learn
2. The right to be safe
3. The right to be happy
We make sure that the way we behave ensures that everyone is able to achieve the three things above and that it takes place in a positive, supportive place!
Learning at Home
Each week the children choose one fiction and one non-fiction book to enjoy with you at home. Please try to read together at least 4 times each week and sign the reading record each time.
Homework is set each Thursday and is due the following Wednesday. The activities are carefully matched to your child's individual learning journey so please support them with completing their homework as it provides them with the opportunity to consolidate new learning and practice new skills.
