‘LIVE, LOVE, LEARN’

At St Matthew’s Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School, we aim to provide a positive learning experience in a safe and respectful environment.

We strive to teach an inspiring and inclusive curriculum that promotes a love of learning.

As a Christian school, we endeavour to develop the spiritual and moral values of all members of the St. Matthew’s family, and a meaningful, loving relationship with God.
We want our children to be cheerful and independent individuals who reach their potential and are proud of their achievements. We hope to develop confident, caring citizens who are well prepared to enjoy happy and rewarding lives.

Dear Parents

I am proud to be the Headteacher of this popular and successful school, working with a dedicated staff team and eager, vibrant children. We work in close partnership with parents, school governors and the local community as well as having strong links with Christ Church and local mosques.

As a school with a Christian foundation, we promote a sympathetic understanding of other faiths. We strive to nurture and promote mutual respect and responsibility.

We provide effective teaching, based on the National Curriculum, encouraging the highest achievement for each child in a happy and stimulating learning environment.

Our website is designed to be as user-friendly as possible giving easy-to-access information for parents, governors, staff and children. We hope you like it!
